This monitoring system allows the school to have a data driven approach towards student performance. Towards the end of the term, there will be mock exams and revisions to prepare the students. It’s definitely an intense programme, but that is the price for excellence.
Classes here have an average of 15 students, which is a pretty good teacher-student ratio. Every student here goes through a weekly meeting with their academic supervisor where they can discuss just about anything from personal issues to academic difficulties. There are more than 20 subjects for the students to choose from, but lesser arts options.
Students are generally required to be on campus from 9am to 4pm, with 1 hour lunch in between. The support classes will run from 5.15pm everyday, and dinner is served from 5.30pm. After that, students will go to their respective activities at 7pm and then head back to their boarding houses. There is typically a curfew at 10pm and students do not need to surrender their devices.
