The remaining students come from various independent schools, including local institutions like Sancton Wood, Heritage, Landmark International, CIS, The Leys, and St Mary’s, as well as from farther afield, such as St Christopher’s Letchworth, Bishop’s Stortford College, Wisbech Grammar, Culford, and Ipswich High. All students are required to take a cognitive ability test, and if they meet the entry requirements, they are then invited for a general interview. Additionally, a school report and reference are necessary. To receive an offer of a place, students must have a minimum of 50 points in their eight best GCSE subjects, with at least a grade 7 in the subjects they intend to study in the sixth form.
